YOUR JOURNEY TO BECOME A BALANCED MAN STARTS HERE
It began at Oxford and Cambridge Universities in England.
Yale and Harvard Universities later adopted it in the United States. And now SigEp brings it to you. It’s the Residential Learning Community—formally established in 2000—this program expands upon the traditional residential college model. For SigEp, a learning community incorporates collaboration between academic professionals, undergraduates, the university, and the chapter facility where there is an incredible opportunity for personal growth and educational development.
Where others talk about the benefits of Greek life, SigEp delivers it: academic guidance, faculty and alumni interaction, personal and professional development, social events, athletics—SigEp creates a well-rounded college experience. With SigEp you will be more successful in your transition to college, more involved on campus, and better prepared for life after college.
Faculty members are a key component of the RLCs, too. They take a personal interest in your academic career, get to know you very well, and advise you individually. Some Faculty Fellows host for-credit classes, seminars, and lectures for SigEps right inside the facility. Studies show that by being part of a residential college, you will be more satisfied with college life, have a higher GPA and—most importantly—you are far more likely to graduate.
SigEp is the first and only educational foundation and Greek letter organization with a successful, comprehensive Residential Learning Community program.
